Cynon Linc - A place for everyone

We are delighted that renovation work at Cynon Linc is on schedule despite the challenging times we have faced over the past year.

Cynon Linc will be an inclusive Community Hub and ‘A Place for Everyone’, with Co-location and collaboration at its heart. It will be a home to community groups, organisations and companies that will benefit the local and wider community, including Maendy GP Surgery and a 24 space Children’s Day Nursery.

Yr Hwb/The Hub Restaurant and Coffee Shop has been transformed into a bright and welcoming space, with an outside courtyard area that will provide a wide range of meals, snacks, healthy options, and drinks. As before, every weekday between 12pm and 2pm we will continue to provide discounted lunches for older people and of course, a range of activities and services will be available for older people to enjoy.

With continued support from Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, Cwm Taff Morgannwg University Health Board and funders such as The National Lottery Community Fund, Dunhill Medical Trust, Pen Y Cymoedd, Welsh Church Acts and The Welsh Government Integrated Care Fund, the doors to Cynon Linc are on track to open on October 4th 2021.

How to get involved

We are committed to making Cynon Linc a place that everyone can enjoy and has access to. To do this we’ll be creating a Cynon Linc Steering Group, comprising community voices and key stakeholders. If you’d like to get involved, please get in touch by emailing cynonlinc@acmorgannwg.org.uk, telephoning 01443 490650 or writing to us at 5-7 Mill Street, Pontypridd etc.
