ACM is an older person’s charity with a head office in Aberdare. Since 1977 we have been helping and supporting older people through some of the most difficult times in their life. Over the years, many thousands of people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf, have found companionship, laughter, new interests and a listening ear in the staff and volunteers who are the beating heart of our charity.
What do we do...
Getting the right help at the right time can make all the difference. We offer a range of information, advice, and services which help older people live independently for as long as possible. Our work is designed to put people first and make life easier. Our dedicated staff and volunteer team offer independent and confidential support on issues such as care, health, housing, benefit eligibility and financial wellbeing.
In the media
Our experienced team are available to provide insightful comment for both print and broadcast media. We also operate a busy community hub in Aberdare which makes an ideal location for reporting and interviews. We can provide a knowledgeable representative to speak on many issues effecting older people living in Wales.
