I am married and the proud mum and grandmother of three children and three grandchildren. We moved to Wales in 2017 after spending 30+ years in Herefordshire. I have been involved in the third sector for over 30 years and have been a trustee of several charities over those years. I started my work in the sector for animal charities, moving on to charities supporting the visually impaired, carers, and then older people. I was a trustee for two infrastructure organisations supporting other charities working in the health and social care sector.

I joined ACM as I wanted to use the experience that I had gained to support a charity working to empower older people. I also wanted to learn more about the differences of charities working across Wales to those I had worked for in England – specifically in the health and social care field.

In my free time, I am passionate about Vintage Sewing Machines and anything that is sewing or craft-related.
