About: Wayne Morgan

Wayne Morgan, Head of Charity Services

Wayne Morgan is our Head of Charity Services – a position he has held since 2024. He  has an MA in Education and Training and has worked in the voluntary sector for over 30 years. He has worked across all age sectors developing humanitarian and first aid education, peer education and peer support programmes, including volunteering and work placement opportunities. Projects have supported young and adult carers, refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, people socially isolated, people with mobility issues and people living with chronic pain.

Wayne is passionate about making a difference to the community and individual lives, by delivering quality meaningful interactions that enables people to access the support they need at any time. He is passionate about Wales, its culture and language and served as a governor in a Welsh medium school and volunteered in an out of school youth club, delivering activities through the medium of Welsh.

In his spare time, Wayne enjoys sport. He has coached young footballers and now referees on weekends across all age levels. He runs and cycles to keep fit and enjoys spending time outdoors. Wayne has used his running activities to travel to cities across the UK and Europe, taking the opportunity to raise money for charity.

His favourite quote is ‘what does not kill me makes me stronger’ because he believes we can learn and grow from even the worst of experiences, building individual resilience and moral character. This was instilled by his father, who, whenever  Wayne fell or grazed as a child, would look at it and say, “it’s only a bit of bark off”.
