Age Connects Morgannwg is the leading charity working with older people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil (the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board footprint). We have a strong history with over 45 years of supporting older people and their families through some of the most difficult times in their life. We also have a proven track record of listening to older people, learning what’s important to them and caring about the way they are treated, perceived, and portrayed.

About the Job

A new role as part of an exciting new team that will ensure every customer of The Hub Café and Coffee Shop has a positive experience and will want to return again and again. Under the direction of the Hospitality manager / Chef this role will help with preparation of food in the kitchen and ensure the swift operation of The Hub Café and Coffee Shop whilst maintaining a high level of customer service, cleanliness, and service.

As a core part of the Catering Crew a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner is essential.

General Responsibilities

The post will comprise two components:

Operational

Assist the Chefs in the production of high-quality food and refreshments.
Process payments made via card and cash, dealing with transactional enquiries whilst confident to cash up and reconcile at the end of the day.

Customer Service

Maintain a clear customer focus, proactively develop and maintain high standards of customer care.
Take orders and make recommendations where they would be welcomed, introducing new dishes or specials, whilst noting any special requirements the customers may have.
