Age Connects Morgannwg is the leading charity working with older people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil (the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board footprint). We have a strong history with over 45 years of supporting older people and their families through some of the most difficult times in their life. We also have a proven track record of listening to older people, learning what’s important to them and caring about the way they are treated, perceived, and portrayed.
About the Job
A new role as part of an exciting new team that will ensure every customer of The Hub Café and Coffee Shop has a positive experience and will want to return again and again. Under the direction of the Hospitality manager / Chef this role will help with preparation of food in the kitchen and ensure the swift operation of The Hub Café and Coffee Shop whilst maintaining a high level of customer service, cleanliness, and service.
As a core part of the Catering Crew a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner is essential.
General Responsibilities
The post will comprise two components:
Operational
- Assist the Chefs in the production of high-quality food and refreshments.
- Process payments made via card and cash, dealing with transactional enquiries whilst confident to cash up and reconcile at the end of the day.
Customer Service
- Maintain a clear customer focus, proactively develop and maintain high standards of customer care.
- Take orders and make recommendations where they would be welcomed, introducing new dishes or specials, whilst noting any special requirements the customers may have.
