Andy Cobb, Trustee

Andy grew up in Abergavenny before pursuing a Food Technology Diploma at Bristol Polytechnic and Seale Hayne College. His career began in food manufacturing, where he spent 18 years working in factories across England, rising from supervisor to factory manager.

In 2003, he transitioned into supply chain management, overseeing warehousing, distribution, production, labour planning, and forecasting. After 30 years in England, Andy returned to South Wales in 2015. In 2019, he took a completely new career path, joining Citizens Advice Rhondda Cynon Taf as a Universal Credit Adviser.

Andy retired in March 2023 but remains active in the community. He volunteers two mornings a week with Age Connects Morgannwg and, in summer 2024, became a Trustee, contributing to the charity’s governance and strategy.

In his free time, Andy enjoys walking his dog, watching rugby, exploring history, pottering in his garden, and traveling.
