Allie Johnson is a registered social worker and the Manager of the Hospital Discharge Team for Rhondda Cynon Taf Local Authority. With a career dedicated to supporting individuals during some of the most challenging times in their lives, Allie has extensive experience working with older people and those facing mental health challenges.

Passionate about collaboration, Allie believes that strong partnerships between statutory services, such as local authorities, and third-sector organisations are essential in delivering meaningful support. This belief led her to apply for a Trustee role with Age Connects Morgannwg (ACM), drawn by its commitment to empowering older people - helping them understand their rights, access entitlements, and stay connected to their communities.

Allie sees ACM’s mission as a natural extension of her professional values and a valuable complement to her role in local government. She hopes to contribute her deep understanding of statutory services while using her social work skills - curiosity, critical thinking, and a willingness to ask the difficult questions - to support ACM’s growth and development.
